"The Daintree Rainforest in 5 Steps" is a nature documentary about the Daintree Rainforest. This beautiful area is located in far north Queensland and is regarded as the only area within Australia, where you can still find undisturbed lowland rainforests. During one year of intensive filming, 8 month of editing and musical compositiion respectively, I created 5 shortfilms. Every shortfilm features a different nature theme. The shortfilms are:

I ... as far as you can see ...

II spiders everywhere

III up in the air

IV leaf dance

V insected?

+ additional feature"pristine impression

Together with additional features, this DVD is the most comprehensive filming material that has is been published to date. It solely features the wildlife and nature of elusive and pristine places of the Daintree Rainforest and has a number of high lights. For examle, it includes fanstastic arial photography of the Rainforest as well as close-ups of rare wildlife like the Boyd's Forest Dragon. It also gives you the opportunity to see extremely rare footage of the mating behaviour of the male Victoria's Rifle Bird.

As an additional feature I added on to this DVD a relaxing shortfilm, which also features the Daintree Rainforest.

"pristine impressions"

The goal with "pristine impressions" was to create a calming environment that gives you long sequences of natural situatiuons. Altogether this short film invites you to watch Fig Parrots eating figs, flowers floating in water spirals, leaves moving in the wind etc. To make it a perfect experience, every sequence is embedded in natural forest sound.
